Story telling exercise where I created a 9-page book to tell the story of how Donatello, (The ninja Turtle not the art master) lent April O'neal his glasses and how he is having a hard time finding her because, well... he can't see without his glasses. The booklet was composed by photographing toy action figures in the back yard of my home, while playing with 8 year old Elytra.
The booklet is formatted as an 6"x6" accordion fold style. The design requirements for this book were to demonstrate basic understanding of imagery vocabulary as well as to put in practice basic book publishing elements. The bindery was made by hand with an exacto knife, a scoring bone, rulers and a lot of double sided tape.
